ANA is growing and scaling and we are seeking a Corporate Controller to join our growing Finance team in an onsite position in Henderson, Nevada.   We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Corporate Controller to join our manufacturing & distribution company. As the Corporate Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial compliance operations of the company. Your primary role will involve managing the end-to-end accounting cycle: closing the books, preparing financial statements, developing a robust internal controls environment, ensuring compliance with state and federal tax agencies, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior management. The ideal candidate has a strong background in technical accounting, internal controls, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.   The position is fully onsite, and the work schedule is weekdays at 8:00 – 5:00pm. This role reports to the VP of Finance. Role & Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the financial operations of the company, including GL, AP, AR, inventory, and payroll
  • Oversee external compliance, tax reporting and related payments. Including management of the Avalara tax platform and compliance with US, Canada, and international indirect tax laws
  • Lead the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors to ensure compliance with accounting standards and timely completion of audit
  • Lead AR customer credit assessment and approval process. Streamline approvals while balancing collection risk and documenting adherence to process and procedure
  • Prioritize, develop and deploy internal controls best practices across the financial operations of the company
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, financial covenants, company policies
  • Provide strong leadership to accounting team; providing guidance, support, and training to enhance skills and performance
  • Lead initiatives to streamline financial processes and leverage technology to improve reporting accuracy and timelines
  • Publish formal white papers to define and confirm management opinions of business process and adherence to the relevant accounting standards
  • Collaborate and partner with finance team to support budget and forecasting process

  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (Master’s of accountancy or related business field a plus)
  • CPA designation required (big 4 experience a plus)
  • Deep working knowledge of GAAP, FASB ASC, GAAS and IRS tax regulations as they pertain to the company’s operations, stays current in latest guidance and pronouncements, ability to translate codification to business processes
  • 7+ years of experience as a Controller or similar leadership role with a proven ability to lead diverse teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable recommendations
  • Process design and leadership experience, ability to drive cross functional change to produce results
  • Multi-entity accounting including intercompany transactions experience, including cross border import/export implications related to tax with specific focus on Canada
  • Business combinations and M&A accounting experience a plus
  • Experience with SEC filings a plus
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems, business central preferred.

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently

    $175,000 – $250,000 per year
