Job Description
You will be responsible for various corporate accounting activities, ensuring accurate application of US GAAP to business transactions and managing the financial close process. Responsibilities:
- Manage the month-end close process, including preparing and posting journal entries, maintaining detailed general ledger schedules, and reconciling key accounts.
- Track and monitor aged reconciling items, providing detailed status reports on their resolution.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date accounting schedules, capturing all relevant general ledger activity.
- Research and guide the treatment of non-routine transactions and reporting matters.
- Plan, prioritize, and manage assignments and projects in a dynamic environment.
- Collaborate with global teams to streamline processes, systems, and controls worldwide.
- Ensure adherence to key controls and audit requirements and provide accounting support to statutory compliance teams.
- Manage accounting systems (SAP S/4 HANA), including UAT testing for system enhancement projects.
- Assist in preparing consolidated financial statements in compliance with US GAAP and IFRS on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, ensuring the results are complete, accurate, and delivered on time.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits.
- Support internal management and statutory reporting requirements.
- Participate in special projects as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; master’s degree in accounting or CPA preferred
- 6+ years of public and/or private accounting experience
- Expertise in intercompany eliminations, foreign currency translation, and topside adjusting journal entries is desirable
- In-depth knowledge of US GAAP, with experience ensuring compliance with accounting policies and processes.
- Experience in working with different legal entities and subsidiaries of a parent company in an accounting role
- Experienced using SAP S/4HANA, SAP Group Reporting, a big plus
- Effective computer and analytical skills, advanced knowledge of Excel, including the use of Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP
- Solid problem-solving abilities, strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
For California, Colorado, New York, Washington, and remote roles: The compensation range for this role is $105,980 to $186,670. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
