Location Details: United Kingdom - Remote

This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.

The goal of DEM Copywriter is to deliver compelling content for our brands that encourages, educates and informs customers across multiple touchpoints including site, blog, social and display. Effective writing will depend on a fusion of writing craft & creativity with insight derived from analysis, research and an intuitive understanding of our brands, together with a detailed knowledge of our brand guidelines.

What you'll get to do...

  • Understand the distinctive tone of voice of our brands and stay current with the relevant brand guidelines and tone of voice
  • Write and localise compelling content advised by data and insights from multiple sources including blog tracking and SEO requirement
  • Write to work as tasked by Operations lead or Managing Editor Blog
  • Ability to edit and feedback on content submitted by others (eg ensuring accurate brand tone of voice from work submitted by external writers)
  • Proactively propose content ideas and storylines which will provoke curiosity about our brand and products
  • Sense check non-native market creative with country lead or local agency to ensure cultural sensitivity

Your experience should include...

  • 5+ years of experience within an agency or recognised industry exponent 
  • Professional writer, with excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and simply across short and long-format creative
  • Effective utilisation of critical queue functions within design and/or copy writing organisations
  • Willingness to lean into execution with a “roll up your sleeves” approach 
  • A track record of using “test & learn” to drive continuous improvement. Confirmed ability to use insights and data to optimise work
  • Ability to prioritise work and use spreadsheets and industry-recognised software for triage, project oversight and queue management
