About the role: 

Okay, we’ve waffled long enough. So let’s get to the good bit: You. 

As a Copywriter, reporting into the Creative Lead and working closely with colleagues in creative, global brand and local marketing teams, you’ll be responsible for writing copy and upholding our TOV guidelines and principles across all brand touchpoints and marketing channels. You’ll contribute to the overall Elvie tone of voice, writing inclusive language that supports our mission. You’ll help us to tackle taboos, challenge the narrative on women’s health and talk about difficult subjects head-on.

To succeed in the role, you’ll need to build a thorough understanding of the Elvie story – our mission and vision and how we talk about ourselves. You’ll be a creative thinker, socially savvy, a confident presenter, and pragmatic at bringing campaigns to life.You’ll approach each project with enthusiasm, can-do attitude, and belief in our mission

Location: Hybrid working; a mix of working from our London or Bristol offices (whichever preferred) & working remotely 

Employment type: 10 month FTC (please note, you must have the right to work in the UK) 

Requirements

What you’ll be doing at Elvie:

  • Taking creative briefs for brand, product communications and campaigns and working with the marketing operations team to plan execution.
  • Working closely with creative and marketeers on integrated brand and NPD campaigns
  • Supporting both the Social and Web Teams in creating compelling content and copy
  • Working with our marketing operations team to manage requests from across the business and prioritise based on business needs
  • Ensuring copy is in line with our TOV guidelines and is proofed, grammar and spell checked prior to production.

What we are looking for:

  • A writer wanting to move into a dynamic, fast-paced and demanding role
  • Solid experience in a reputable creative agency, in-house team, or freelancing
  • A skill for storytelling and understanding of engaging narrative structure across integrated campaigns
  • Excellent copywriting, editing, and literacy skills, including spelling and grammar, with an obsessive eye for detail
  • Able to quickly develop an understanding of Elvie, our mission and brand and to judge what makes good Elvie communication. Able to question a brief and highlight key creative challenges and seek opportunities
  • Confident and articulate, you’ll be able to present your work with passion and enthusiasm, supporting your thinking with both clear rationale and creative expression
  • You’ll know how to write thumb stopping social content and captions
  • You’ll be a team player who understands the wider pressures that come with tight deadlines and offer the right support to help
  • Experience at writing scripts for both video as well as audio content is desirable
  • Understanding of the differences and nuances between US and UK English is desirable.

We would like to get to know you through your background, attitude, experience and understand your motivation to work with us. Our interview process varies depending on the position, but it typically looks like this: 

  • 30-minute video call with one of our recruiters
  • 30-45 minute video call with the Creative Lead and current Copywriter
  • 45-60 minute video interview with the Creative Lead and PR & Comms Lead, which will include a task
