Coordinator, Sync Licensing

Downtown Music's Sync Team is seeking to bring on a Coordinator, Sync Licensing to our Sync Licensing department. While at Downtown you will be working with the Senior Manager of Sync Licensing in all areas of synchronization licensing and administrative functions for Downtown Music Publishing’s expansive catalog.

This hybrid role will be based in our Los Angeles office. 

What you'll do: 

• Negotiating quote terms and fees for film, television, video games, new media, etc...
• Working with the Client Services department to seek approvals for our sync quote requests
• Issuing sync quotes to third parties and providing relevant copyright and cur sheet information
• Following up on outstanding quotes, confirming license requests and requesting cue sheets as needed
• Developing and maintaining relationships with licensees ● Identifying opportunities for exploitation

You are / have: 

• 1-2 years of related experience, preferably at a music publisher, label or third party synchronization agent or related company 
• General understanding of music publishing, licensing and copyright 
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with a diverse range of people and job functions 
• The ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies; Interest and experience in using technology and the Internet to improve work efficiency
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and written communication skills
• The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• A drive to learn and grow with a positive attitude

Downtown provides base salary ranges for all positions located in the United States at the time of posting. The hiring range for this position is $45,000 - $50,000 annually. As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon various factors including, but not limited to, work experience, geographic location and relevant skills. Downtown is committed to providing a comprehensive market-competitive total rewards program for its employees which includes medical, dental, and vision, life insurance, 401(k) match and generous paid time off. This range does not include any other variable compensation components.
