Position Summary
 
The Coordinator, Global Mechanical Operations is an integral member of the Plastics, Tooling and Plastics Maintenance teams that provides support to the groups on Special Programs, Projects, and Objectives.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

·         Collate and analyze relevant data to acknowledge and challenge real-time figures against BOM.
·         Ensure clarity of communication and expectations.
·         Follow through fact finding/ investigation/ root cause analysis exercises daily on events raised during production meeting.
·         Review documentation/ procedures ensuring compliance and relevancy
 
Plastic Injection, Mold fabrication and Maintenance functions, to review with departmental heads, daily/ monthly/ annually
 
·         OEE [performance, actual/ planned/ down-time reasons]
·         Resin allocation/ usage
·         Re-grind management
·         DL allocation against functions [direct/ support]
·         Opportunities for cost down/ timely tracking of
·         Schedule weekly Gamber walks, 5s, Safety
Tooling –
·         Daily department meeting/ minuting of
·         Schedule adherence of new, modification and repair of molds
·         Communication with Supply Chain
·         RFQ / DFM preparation and reviews
·         Mold drawing library management
·         GTY Toolroom documentation/ historical data/ reporting
·         OT and Procedure management
 
Supervisory Responsibilities – List Teams/Groups
·         None
 
Qualifications - Knowledge & Experience
10 + years working in factory environment
Good command of English language; written and verbal a must
NPI, Quality management [procedure/ audit/ implementation]
Strong analytical background
Program management experience
Ability to communicate across departments and at all levels of the organization
Experience working with overseas companies
Proven track record of accountability and ethics
 
Education, Licenses & Certification
·         Graduate from an accredited college or university with a degree in Business, manufacturing or related field
·         Significant work experience may be considered
 
Work Conditions
·         40-hours plus per week
·         Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings
·         Sitting for extended periods of time; Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, etc.
Travel approximately 25% - domestic or international as needed
