Cook - PRN

About the Role
As a Cook you will impact the lives of our residents by preparing nourishing, palatable and appealing meals. Long-Term care or Retirement community experience, and portion planning is preferred.

$500 sign on bonus for Full Time position.

What You’ll Do
As a member of our team you will have an impact on our clients through accomplishment of the following responsibilities:

• Review recipes and menus for selection of appropriate ingredients so as to prepare for cooking meals.
• Cooks meals that are nourishing, palatable and appetizing in appearance using approved recipes.
• Maintain inventory.
• Plan cooking schedules.
• Clean work areas including pots and pans, refrigerators, freezers, vents and ceilings.

What You’ll Bring to the Team
To be successful in this role and a great addition to our team we need you to come with the following:

• A High School Diploma (or G.E.D.) so as to have the knowledge to follow basic instructions including recipes.
• Self-motivation to guide daily work with only moderate supervision.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to use tact and courtesy in interactions with coworkers, residents and their families.

Preferred Qualifications
In addition to the amazing qualifications and experiences listed above, if we had our say, we would also look for:

• Previous cooking experience in related industry.
