In this role, you will: 

  • Manage all accounting operations, including payroll, AR, AP, and GL 
  • Analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner to senior management 
  • Provide financial leadership for annual budgeting and planning by collecting, analyzing, and consolidating data 
  • Achieve budget objectives by scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions 
  • Oversee and manage month and year-end financial reporting close processes 
  • Prepare financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions
  • Ensure compliance with government contracting regulations, including Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) requirements
  • Prepare for and coordinate audits, including DCAA audits and other government agency audits
  • Manage all human resources operations, including PR, benefits, performance, and training 
  • Lead the current accounting and human resources teams, helping to clarify roles and responsibilities 

This position is an office-based role at our Waltham, MA location.

The successful candidate has: 

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, MBA or CPA preferred 
  • 10+ years of accounting experience, 5+ years in a consulting organization  
  • 4+ years managing staff
  • Government cost accounting experience required 
  • In-depth knowledge of government contracting regulations, including FAR and DCAA requirements
  • Experience managing finance and contracts teams in accounting for projects according to FAR and DCAA guidelines 
  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) 
  • Understanding of human resources and compliance
  • Strong leadership and team management skills   
  • Proficiency in Unanet, ERP systems, and MS Office
