In this role, you will:
- Manage all accounting operations, including payroll, AR, AP, and GL
- Analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner to senior management
- Provide financial leadership for annual budgeting and planning by collecting, analyzing, and consolidating data
- Achieve budget objectives by scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions
- Oversee and manage month and year-end financial reporting close processes
- Prepare financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions
- Ensure compliance with government contracting regulations, including Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) requirements
- Prepare for and coordinate audits, including DCAA audits and other government agency audits
- Manage all human resources operations, including PR, benefits, performance, and training
- Lead the current accounting and human resources teams, helping to clarify roles and responsibilities
This position is an office-based role at our Waltham, MA location.
The successful candidate has:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, MBA or CPA preferred
- 10+ years of accounting experience, 5+ years in a consulting organization
- 4+ years managing staff
- Government cost accounting experience required
- In-depth knowledge of government contracting regulations, including FAR and DCAA requirements
- Experience managing finance and contracts teams in accounting for projects according to FAR and DCAA guidelines
- Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Understanding of human resources and compliance
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Proficiency in Unanet, ERP systems, and MS Office
