Position Overview

The Contributions Coordinator reconciles, balances and reports Pension, Health & Welfare, and other benefits to the unions and guilds as well as researches and resolves inquiries pertaining to various unions and guilds. The coordinator must also have a basic understanding of accounting principles, a high level understanding of union rules/rates and basic knowledge of payroll systems and processes. This position will be required to establish and maintain good working relationships with unions, guilds, fund offices, and production clients.

Core Responsibilities

  • Reconcile and balance weekly and monthly contribution reports against finance reports for multiple unions and guilds
  • Coordinate with Finance to maintain and monitor aging reports, refund allocations, and other tasks
  • Receive and respond to internal and external customers inquiries
  • Analyze union inquiries regarding pension, health & welfare rate discrepancies between contracts and rates submitted
  • Identify and analyze union billings for penalties, shortages, and overpayments
  • Provide accurate data required for reporting based on union rules/guidelines
  • Effectively support internal and external clients to resolve issues
  • Assist and coordinate the processing of adjustments related to incorrect contribution processing
  • Maintain accurate records in accordance with company policy and procedure
  • Perform other related duties and assignments as needed

Key Qualifications

  • Able to work at our Burbank office approximately 2x per week or as needed.
  • GED or equivalent work experience required
  • Experience handling finance or accounting -related tasks such as billing, reconciliations, or other related responsibilities
  • Ability to quickly comprehend/learn new processes, systems, and methods
  • Excellent oral and written communication ability
  • Self-motivated to work independently while working towards the team and individual goals
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills, with a sense of urgency regarding client servicing
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with entertainment unions, guilds, and fund offices and associated trends and practices
  • Proficient knowledge and utilization of the payroll database system
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM software

Special Work Conditions    

  • Sedentary – Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Some positions may entail exerting up to 15 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, or pull.
Compensation is commensurate with various factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, training, licensure, certifications, geographic cost of labor, and other business and organizational needs. Compensation range for candidates in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
The compensation range for this position is:
$26$28 USD
