We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Contract Manufacturing Manager to strategically manage and optimize business relationships with Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) and partners within the electronics contract manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will ensure alignment with SEAKR's long-term manufacturing strategies and compliance with all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:

CMO Management:
- Develop and manage the qualification process for CMOs within SEAKR.
- Lead the contract manufacturing selection process with internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with long-term supply chain strategies.
- Oversee daily operations with CMOs, ensuring the on-time and quality supply of electronic components and products.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, negotiate contracts, and manage all aspects of manufacturing partnerships.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, government regulations, and quality standards at all manufacturing sites.
- Facilitate all external manufacturing activities, including off-site inspections, testing, shipping, and packaging.
- Develop and integrate flow-down requirements to CMOs as appropriate.

Strategic Development:
- Develop and implement a continuity plan and exit strategy for all manufactured products, ensuring access to necessary documentation and materials.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Logistics, Procurement, etc.) to align production schedules and optimize costs and efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing processes, aiming for higher efficiency, reduced waste, and better product quality.
- Monitor and manage manufacturing costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and develop standard costs of goods.
- Connect key stakeholders and maintain accountability both internally and externally.

Audit and Compliance:
- Perform audits of CMO sites to ensure compliance with global regulations and industry standards.
- Lead product and process transfers to and from CMOs, and evaluate and implement new technologies.
- Support CMO investigations and CAPA processes, serve as an NCR/CAPA approver, and ensure ongoing compliance with established agreements and regulations.

Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions:
- Support investigations related to external manufacturing and shipping operations.
- Implement meaningful corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to reduce cycle times, errors, and improve overall quality.
Required Skills:
- Strong decision-making skills with the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to travel 25-50% of the time to contract manufacturers or business partners.
- Ability to maintain training status on SEAKR-specific work instructions and SOPs.
Desired Skills:
- Proven experience in vendor/internal audits and familiarity with relevant electronics manufacturing regulations.
- ASQ Certification (e.g., Quality Auditor, Quality Technician, Quality Engineer) or equivalent.
- Demonstrated leadership in a manufacturing or contract manufacturing environment.
- Expertise in electronics manufacturing technologies, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to connect key stakeholders, maintain accountability, and drive organizational impact.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Minimum of 10 years of combined experience in Aerospace and Defense manufacturing, direct material sourcing, quality, logistics, external manufacturing management, or similar technical functions.
- Professional certifications in Lean Sigma, Project Management, or related areas are preferred.
Compensation: Base salary range is $115,000-180,000, depending on qualifications. SEAKR has very rich medical, dental and vision insurance plans, along with a generous 401(k) retirement plan. In addition to base salary, employees are eligible for a year-end bonus. SEAKR offers a variety of paid leave, such as vacation, sick, bereavement, and FMLA.
