Contract Associate Buyer

We are seeking a passionate and results driven Contract Associate Buyer with the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE 

  • Support Supply Lead or Buyer lead in the day to day purchasing activities: price update, po commitment dates, and other system maintenance tasks
  • PO creation for MRO purchases and / or material purchases following instructions provided by the Supply Lead or Buyer Lead
  • Tracking shipments from the initial order supplier to delivery at FLUIDRA distribution centers.
  • Expediting deliveries
  • Understanding about MRP process and/or MRP systems
  • Understanding and practical knowledge of a company’s manufacturing process
  • Understanding about domestic and global logistics (forwarder tracking shipments, tracking shipments
  • Working with receiving to clarify receiving discrepancies (PO vs Packing List)
  • Working with AP to clarify discrepancies with Invoices, supporting Supply Lead or Buyer Lead
  • Understand the different classes of inventory (raw materials, WIP, finished goods, MRO, service parts, damaged and obsolete).
  • Understand the Purchasing Cycle
  • Understand the importance of safety stock and the role this stocking strategy plays in the organization.
  • Analytical skills are required for this position, as well as ability to manage large reports.
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage conflict by identifying and handling conflicts in a sensible, fair and efficient manner.
  • Demonstrate trustworthiness and professionalism with suppliers, peers, and team members.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

  

WHAT WE SEEK
  • Manufacturing environment experience, good to have
  • Understanding of MRP/ERP systems, good to have not a must
  • Analytical and detail-oriented skill
  • Organized and time management skills
  • Excel data base skills
  • Independent and quick learner
  • Attention to details and accuracy is a must
  • APICS Certifications preferred

  

EDUCATION  

Bachelor's Degree in Business/Supply Chain Management

Expected hourly rate range is $24.00- $30.00/ hour.  The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, experience and location. Your recruiter will provide additional details on our compensation.
