The Job at a Glance

As the Continuous Improvement Engineer, you are a critical member of the Continuous Improvement team. This role is based in Glendale, AZ and reports into a team that sits in Addison, IL. You will be leading CI initiatives in our brand new DC West facility. In this role, you will observe and analyze DC processes and help implement changes to increase productivity, efficiency, and promote safety. You will work with operations leaders and help them utilize the DMAIC process to optimize our DC. You will assist in various projects related to labor management and workflow optimization.

 

 

A Typical Day

  • Analyze existing DC processes and assess short comings/gaps
  • Create, maintain, audit DC SOPs
  • Assist in development and implementation of preferred methods and labor standards
  • Assist with promotion and education of LEAN concepts such as 5S and Waste Elimination
  • Improve DC efficiencies and implement labor management practices

 

To Land This Opportunity

  • You have the ability to transform data into actionable decisions and insightful stories
  • You have experience with project coordination or project management
  • You are a self-starter looking to make an impact in a new role
  • You consider yourself at least intermediate in MS Excel
  • You have a demonstrated ability to drive change and promote continuous improvement
  • You are familiar with CI methods (LEAN, Six Sigma, DMAIC, etc.)
  • You’re someone that thrives in a fast-paced environment, can self-manage, and juggle multiple priorities
  • 1+ years’ experience in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics or Internship experience leading continuous improvement efforts
  • You’re an all-star communicator and are proficient in English (both written and verbal)
  • You possess the ability to move around for long periods of time and consistently lift up to 30 lbs. unassisted.
