Content Specialist

The Content Specialist, reporting to the Regional Content Manager, is responsible for executing customer communication and localization efforts locally. This role is responsible for ensuring the content is engaging and enhancing the cultural relevance on a market level. In this role, you will collaborate cross-functionally assisting localization for multiple projects and campaigns, both regional as well as central campaigns. You will also be responsible for creating and curating user-generated content (UGC) for social media platforms, working with collaborators and influencers to generate authentic and engaging content that resonates with target audiences. You will work in an international Content team with colleagues in 9 different countries and get the opportunity to learn more about other cultures and local nuances.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Plan and execute content for local and regional campaigns across App (Discovery), CRM, SoMe and influencer marketing activities.
  • Translate, write and ensure marketing materials and other content are culturally and linguistically appropriate.
  • Work closely with central copywriting teams to understand tonality and overall brand in our messaging.
  • Implement changes in in-app inventory (such as Discovery) in collaboration with Consumer team
  • Collaborate with influencers and/or influencer marketing agencies to create and share engaging content.
  • Support in broader marketing campaign execution where needed.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of partner marketing efforts, including promotions, emails and in-app activities.
  • Support the Regional Content Manager in coordinating local designers and other third party providers.
  • Collaborate with global teams to align regional strategies with global standards.
  • Monitor and analyze content performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience in content creation and localization.
  • Strong creative writing and translation skills with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with cultural nuances and local market trends.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in Icelandic and English  is required.
