Role Overview:

In this role, you will curate and create compelling animal content for our platform, ensuring it is engaging and effective for improving employee well-being. You will work closely with stakeholders from the parent organization and other external partners. Your passion for animal content, employee well-being, and conservation will be critical in building a product that makes a real difference.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Sourcing, Curation and Creation:

  • Curate and manage animal media (GIFs, videos, static images) from both external sources and internal wildlife content.
  • Produce and edit photos and videos that are suitable, engaging, and effective to deepen users’ affinity with wildlife & nature.
  • Organize and manage content assets within a content management system, overseeing prioritization and maintain a content calendar, ensuring a steady flow of engaging materials.
  • Content Maintenance: Update existing content to ensure accuracy and relevance, and remove or archive outdated or irrelevant content.
  • Ensure all content aligns with ethical standards and does not promote harmful animal practices.

Content Development:

  • Propose and develop new content formats to enhance the user experience, including short-form videos, articles and interactive experiences.
  • Conduct research to identify the best animal content for mood enhancement and stress reduction, collaborating with external experts for validation.
  • Conduct customer interviews and surveys to gather feedback on content effectiveness.
  • Analyze user engagement data using analytics tools (e.g. Heap Analytics) to refine and improve content offerings.

Campaign Development:

  • Design and execute conservation-themed campaigns to drive user engagement and support CSR initiatives.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to obtain a steady stream of animal media.
  • Work closely with product managers and developers to integrate content into the platform.
  • Collaborate with external photographers and videographers to source high-quality animal media.
  • Collaborate with conservation partners to develop and release themed content.

Requirements:

  • Experience working for early-stage ventures or startups, informing and guiding the early versions of content development within a digital product.
  • 3+ years of experience in creative digital environment, specialising in video and multimedia content.
  • Storytelling: Ability to craft compelling narratives that capture audience's attention and evoke emotions.
  • Visual Content Creation: Ability to create high-quality visual content (e.g., graphics, infographics, videos) using design software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects).
  • Experience with Contentful or similar content management systems.
  • Current portfolio demonstrating ability to conceptualise creative concepts for video, motion graphics and animation.

Additional Skills:

  • Familiarity with all aspects of digital quality and output: aspect ratios, file formats, basic audio and colour balancing.
  • Audio Content Creation: Ability to create high-quality audio content (e.g., podcasts, voiceovers) using audio software (e.g., Audacity).
  • Excellent aesthetic and skill in capturing visual moments.
  • Good to have: Proficient in both outdoor and indoor content production.

  • Passionate about animals with a deep understanding of wildlife content.
  • Good team player who is able to see the bigger picture.
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated, and resourceful.
  • Able to work autonomously with minimal instruction.
  • Able to manage timeline, prioritise workload and know when to ask for direction.
  • Effective in building and maintaining stakeholder relationships to support content acquisition and integration.
