Role summary
Whether it’s fun music playlists, trivia clues, or bedtime stories, great content is at the core of every Volley experience. As a Content Producer, you will work with contractors, engineers, and product managers to design and develop engaging content across all our products, maintain content quality, and manage the content pipeline on our exciting slate of current and upcoming products.
This job opportunity offers a hybrid work arrangement, and we are specifically seeking candidates who are comfortable with on-site attendance in our Bay Area office 3 times per week (MWF) and are either currently residing in or near the Bay Area or willing to relocate for on-site work.
What you'll do at Volley
- Produce and implement content that meets all product requirements while also upholding good content principles
- Identify opportunities for content-based product features and work cross-functionally with PMs and engineers to implement them in the game
- Build and maintain content production pipelines from scratch, document requirements, write contractor onboarding docs, and onboard contractors
- Review and edit content for design, style, and quality
- Work with data analysts to understand user behavior and shape content strategy with the support of the Head of Content

- Writing, designing, and/or producing entertainment content: video (tv, film, web series), audio (radio shows, podcasts), games (mobile, casual, console)
- Writing, sourcing, and/or editing fiction, blogs, trivia, copy
- Content management
- Content strategy

Your first 90 days
- Get up to speed on all our products and platforms and learn the nuances of how our content works in them
- Become an integral part of the product teams you’re assigned to and ensure content has a voice at the table
- Become familiar with our systems and start making recommendations for process improvements
- Build out pipelines for new and ongoing content features in products and platforms as assigned

For Pay Transparency: The salary range that we expect to pay for this position is $88,000-$110,000 annually. This is a portion of the pay band for the role and level we are seeking. The final offer amount will depend on experience, education and skills. Base pay is only one part of the total package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
