As part of the larger marketing team, the Content Marketing Manager will work with the Content Marketing Lead to strategize and execute music-led artist and content partnership marketing initiatives. This position will lead and own the whole journey of the marketing initiatives, and it requires experience and passion for marketing and the music/entertainment industry, with a firm pulse on content and its cultural impact.
What You'll Do
- Work closely with both local and global cross-functional stakeholders to strategize and execute best-in-class music-led initiatives. This includes planning, creative development, media planning, execution, and reporting.
- Collaborate with external agencies to develop creative and media strategies that effectively drive engagement and content consumption.
- You will adopt global best practices into locally relevant marketing campaigns and go-to-market plans to differentiate Spotify with creators and consumers to drive consideration and relevance.
- You will work with multiple external brand partners to develop a long-term partner marketing strategy and project roadmap, amplifying brand value and delivering mutually beneficial campaigns throughout the year.
- While taking global content partner marketing campaign opportunities, you will build and manage relationships with local partners to create a partner marketing playbook.
- You will drive all activities relevant to the audience and deliver against brand attributes.
Who You Are
- 6+ years of proven experience in customer marketing in the Japan local market with deep knowledge and experience in integrated marketing communication (PESO: paid, earned, shared, owned) all while keeping creativity in mind.
- Proven track record of building and nurturing external relationships that deliver successful business outcomes in the Japan market.
- Excellent project management skills with a high level of confidentiality, attention to detail, organized, and data driven approach.
- Ability to deal with uncertainty and ambiguity, be flexible, make tradeoffs, and provide a solution.
- Able to work autonomously and focus on prioritization in a fast-paced, collaborative, stimulating environment.
- Self-starter and have the ability to work under pressure with imminent deadlines
- Experience in developing test & learn agendas and data-driven cases by understanding Spotify Japan’s objectives and important metric.
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills both in Japanese and English.
- Music and/or audio contents lover.
- Trend-seeker with a passion for social media, culture, music, and entertainment in Japan.
