The Opportunity:

Reporting to the General Manager, the Content Marketing Manager will lead strategy and growth within the content team, while organically adding value to our community and maintaining the Girlboss brand identity across all channels. This role sits within our talented content team, who bring our hit newsletter, podcast and social channels to life each day. Consider the Content Marketing Manager the strategic arm of this team, one that channels their storytelling into measurable growth. Plus, you’ll be instrumental in driving the content programming to support our recently launched courses.

We’re seeking a skilled copywriter with a strong analytical and data-driven mindset to lead growth acquisition efforts, with a primary focus on subscriber and channel growth. This role is ideal for someone driven by achieving measurable results, while also possessing an intuitive understanding of themes and topics important to our audience of ambitious and career-driven women.

In this role, success will be achieved by creating compelling content and campaigns that resonate with the Girlboss audience and leveraging both paid and organic growth efforts. Additionally, success will be driven by monitoring campaign performance against benchmarks and optimizing social, web, and email content by leveraging our data and objectives.

Responsibilities include:

    • Create and execute content marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and engagement across email, social, SEO and audio 
    • Write, edit, and proofread content across platforms, including website, newsletter, podcast, and social media channels (with support of the content team)
    • Concept and execute compelling, conversion-optimized content for Girlboss Courses and the Girlboss Job board
    • Oversee and implement strategies to drive growth through digital acquisition channels, including Meta Ads, podcast ad placements, SEM/Google Ads, and organic growth
    • Day-to-day management of Girlboss’ content calendar, web, SEO optimization, and paid marketing channels 
    • Track and analyze content performance, making data-driven decisions and recommendations to optimize content strategy and increase traffic 
    • Conduct A/B tests and experiments to drive optimization
    • Audit, review, and analyze user behaviour to continually improve our conversion metrics and audience segmentation
    • Collaborate with the content team, freelancers, and agencies on executing strategic initiatives, aiming to inform, entertain, and inspire action through the content and experiences we create.

Requirements

    • 4+ years of experience in content marketing, preferably in the digital media industry
    • Exceptional writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail 
    • Highly creative storyteller with a proven ability to build online audiences
    • Deep knowledge of analytics available on all social platforms, with the ability to translate organic engagement into actionable insights to inform content decisions
    • Experience in developing, executing, and monitoring content marketing strategies
    • Knowledge of audience journeys and email segmentation 
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects and priorities.
    • Always on top of the latest digital media features, news, and trends 
    • Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
    • Ability to thrive in a scrappy, remote startup environment
