We are searching for a creative, passionate and hands-on Content and Marketing Copywriter to join the Zeller Marketing team on a fixed -term parental leave contract, from November 2024 until August 2025.
This is an exciting opportunity to deliver Zeller’s content and social media roadmap, and gain insight and experience in hands-on strategy development. You’ll be empowered to create engaging content across a variety of formats and platforms, and collaborate with the wider team (creative, SEO, product marketing and sales) to amplify and bring it to life.
This role is ideal for a modern, multi-skilled copywriter and content marketer who can balance creativity and performance. An eye for visual design and ear for brand voice will help you to refine and enhance Zeller’s writing style across web, content, and product, while experience directly managing social media accounts for a brand with an aspirational online identity and active presence is essential. You’ll report regularly on content engagement, consumption and lead generation, and (in partnership with our SEO manager) optimise web content to improve rankings and accelerate organic search traffic growth. Experience using web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, SEMRush) is expected.
You Will:
- Oversee Zeller’s entire editorial calendar across blogs, reports, case studies, long-form content, and more.
- Be a passionate writer — who enjoys writing everything from long and short-form content, stories, articles, through to social media snippets and adcopy.
- Partner with SEO, marketing and PR team to deliver unique, creative, and highly-engaging thought leadership (videos, reports, case studies).
- Be responsible for delivering engaging and creative posts to Zeller’s social media handles (Twitter, Facebook and Instagram) to build our audience.
- Develop relationships with Zeller’s merchants and engage them to build out a rich library of case studies (written, video, audio and social).
- Optimise website content to drive keyword improvement and grow organic search traffic.
- Report regularly on content performance, and optimise your strategy to deliver continual improvement.
- Consistently be thinking about content distribution, to ensure every piece you publish reaches as wide an audience as possible.
You Have:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in copywriting for a brand
- A passion for writing, interviewing and creating content from scratch. You’re an excellent copywriter and know how to express brand voice consistently, with the right tone, at the appropriate time.
- Outstanding attention to detail and an eye for design; down to the last character, image crop, or line break.
- A creative mind that can deliver and execute on bold ideas.
- Early-stage experience in content marketing and strategy
- Experience using a variety of platforms including CMS (Hubspot), Social Media (Sprout Social, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram), and web analytics (SEMRush, Google Analytics).
- Experience in all, or most, of the following: editorial planning, content strategy, web analytics, writing, journalism / PR, and SEO.
- A finger on the pulse. You’re up to date with the news, the latest trends, and know how to hijack a moment (or a meme) in the right way to ensure your brand is a part of (or not a part of) the conversation when it counts.
- A tertiary education, or a track record of relevant experience that proves it wasn’t needed.
- A passion for engaging with customers, and are not afraid to build long-lasting relationships with them.
