Business messaging is a rapidly growing industry. Telesign's APIs connect some of the world's largest brands with their consumers to deploy rapid and critical communication. The reliability of our messaging platform serves as a foundation for our customers' mobile communication and operations. Our role in Messaging Operations is proactively looking at worldwide messaging patterns, defining the optimal configuration per customer, and monitoring message delivery rates and general connectivity performance across our many messaging paths. 

About the Role 

As Consumer Trust & Enablement Associate at Telesign, you will become an expert in global messaging requirements, including sender ID registration, compliance, emerging trends, and omnichannel agent registration. The Business Enablement team is critical in supporting Telesign's communications business. While the primary focus for this role will be assisting with recurring operational work and minimal customer interactions, this person will also have stretch opportunities to assist with key initiatives and projects related to process improvements, automation, communication operations, and product design. 

The ideal candidate must be able to connect the dots across disparate data points, troubleshoot, investigate, and use judgment while providing real-time support, detailed guidance, and recommendations to support our customer's sender ID configuration needs. You will work cross-functionally with various teams, including Carrier Partnerships, Service Quality, Technical Routing, and Customer Success. You will work with an experienced international team dedicated to improving messaging performance and profiling our underlying interconnectivity based on quality vs. cost. 
 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Procuring, configuring, quality testing, and releasing global Sender IDs to customers. 
  • Be an expert in global messaging requirements. 
  • Proactively seek market information regarding upcoming regulatory changes for SMS and omnichannel messaging. 
  • Reviewing Sender ID submissions from customers, ensuring the completeness of the application, and communicating with customers if gaps in the requirements are identified. 
  • Perform ongoing analysis of new and existing customer SMS use cases and message content to ensure compliance with acceptable use and country-specific messaging requirements. 
  • Create and maintain documentation related to procedures for testing, troubleshooting, configuring, and whitelisting global Sender IDs. 
  • Work with Telesign's Carrier Partnerships Team as a messaging compliance liaison between Telesign and our global SMS providers. 
  • Practice continuous improvement as we iterate on existing processes supporting global Sender ID submissions, extending to manual and automated improvements. 
  • Create and maintain customer-facing documentation focused on global SMS requirements and country-specific requirements. 
  • Work cross-functionally with Product Marketing to ensure customer-facing documentation is released over the proper channels with a tone consistent with our brand. 
  • Contribute to the ongoing maintenance of the Business Enablement team wiki. 
  • Identify and define requirements for technical tools and solutions that support increased efficiency, visibility, and overall improvements. Continually communicate the details and status of these projects within your team and across applicable business units. 
  • Closely follow the status of Sender ID submissions to ensure a smooth launch. 
  • Create and manage a detailed matrix of all Telesign short codes, services, and programs. 
  • Continually monitor and confirm all message content complies with the latest carrier and Telesign guidelines. Escalate content concerns to management on a case-by-case basis. 

Essential Requirements 

  • Bachelor's Degree. 
  • 1+ years of experience in the messaging industry, focusing on integrating technology with Business Enablement, Carrier Relations, or messaging processes. 
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce, Confluence, and Jira. 
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and comfort with ambiguity. 
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with an ability to be understood effectively by business leaders, customers, product managers, and engineers. 
  • Fluency in English is a must

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Technical savvy and experience with APIs are a plus. 
  • Experience with technology configuration management and logical exercises preferred.
