Consumer Panel Services (CPS) Commercial Lead

The role of Singapore Consumer Panel Service (CPS) Commercial Lead is crucial in accelerating CPS commercial growth through market making and client penetration in Singapore. The Singapore CPS Commercial Lead will spearhead efforts to drive CPS in Singapore by developing and executing a robust commercial strategy and Go-to-Market (GTM) approach. This includes setting and achieving weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual goals outlined in the Operating Plan (OP).

Reporting to the Singapore FMCG Sales Lead with matrix reporting to the Asia Pacific (APAC) CPS Commercial Lead. This role will collaborate extensively with both the Singapore local commercial team and regional CPS commercial team.

About The Role:

  • Delivering ambitious results which involves setting high benchmarks and consistently achieving or surpassing them and displaying a relentless drive towards achieving result.
  • Establishing credibility with peers and senior leadership both with clients and internally. Externally, build a reputation as a trusted partner who bring value to the client's business. Internally, able to rally and inspire people to share and work toward achieving CPS ambition in Singapore.
  • Demonstrating mindset focused on continual improvement along the way, taking risks, and learning from mistakes rather than waiting for perfection. Maintaining positivity and confidence in overcoming challenges, and facing rejections, remaining steadfast when others may feel pessimistic or defeated.
  • Challenge the status quo, foster open-mindedness, and encourage creative thinking to nurture continuous improvement culture. Stay alert to changing situations, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in approach.
  • Having a genuine curiosity about purchase behavior data and able to demonstrate the capability to translate data into actionable insights in Consumer and Shopper behaviour field.

Core Responsibilities:

Financial Management

  • Take ownership of achieving the Operating Plan (OP) targets for Singapore CPS which including proactively identify revenue gaps and devise plans for closing the gap
  • Ensure accurate forecasting of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual OP.  Coordinate annual OP setting with realistic yet ambitious target.
  • Proactively identify new opportunities beyond basic solution, talking and selling CPS advanced solution including Panel Survey and CAS (Consumer Analytic Solution) with credibility and expertise.

Client Acquisition

  • Devise and implement strategies focused on client penetration. Actively identify new clients we can target and outlining actions required to acquire the client.
  • Build strong personal reputation and relationship with key decision maker in potential client’s side
  • Take the lead in orchestrating and delivering contract renewals, proposal and sales pitching

Commercial Strategy & Go to Market

  • Lead the development, refinement, and execution of the commercial strategy for the CPS in Singapore, including develop and implement sales plans, focusing on market making
  • In collaboration with cluster/country commercial lead, encourage and empower local ADs to sell CPS by fostering a collaborative environment with the necessary tools, training, and sales resources.

Client Management & Consultancy

  • Build personal reputation as someone who can bring insightful contribution to client business hence become trusted advisor for clients.
  • Use understanding and strategic view of client’s business to effectively communicate client expectation to the rest of the team to ensure client’s expectations are met
  • If needed, lead presentation on more complex projects and to run workshops session, in a way that demonstrate confidence and expertise.

Product and Service Development

  • Champion NIQ CPS product and service to both internal and external clients; and make sure they are exposed to our best and latest thinking, and new development in CPS i.e. Panel on Demand
  • Regularly seek inputs from clients about the ongoing relevance of our product and services  to ensure alignment between client needs and the product development.
  • Commercial Leadership: Extensive experience in developing and executing commercial strategy based on strategic thinking.
  • Sales Expertise: Proven track record on achieving sales target and driving revenue growth. They should be skilled in prospecting, negotiating, and closing deal effectively.
  • Client Management: Extensive experience expanding client portfolio or client acquisition.
  • Strong communication skill: Excellent verbal and written communication skill
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to interpret data and translate it to actionable insights.
  • Leadership and Influence: Ability to lead, inspire and influence a diverse stakeholder internally and externally, collaborate effectively across functions and diverse steams.
  • Experience working in matrixed organizations includes familiarity with navigating complex organizational structures.
  • In depth product knowledge about Consumer Panel is a plus
