About the Role (your why)

The IT Service and Business Continuity Consultant is responsible for the delivery of managed ITSCM and/or BCM Services. This role ensures we deliver value to our customers and internal stakeholders through the delivery of high-quality ITSCM and/or BCM Services, with the goal of IT Service Continuity readiness aligned with the customers Business Continuity requirements.

 Note this is a contractor position

What you’ll do

  • Leading the Disaster Recovery work in assessing, advising, and communicating recovery environment requirements and plans.
  • Ensuring Disaster Recovery plans align with relevant legislation, appropriate standards and business requirements.
  • Maintaining monthly status reporting, budgeting, strategic planning, and Disaster Recovery documentation.
  • Representing the ITSCM and/or BCM service on behalf of Datacom to customers.
  • Delivering high quality ITSCM and/or BCM services ensuring compliance with Datacoms relevant policies, processes and procedures.
  • Ensuring all stakeholders adhere to the relevant processes in line with customer requirements and good practices.

 

What you’ll bring

  • Good understanding of broad business and technology matters.
  • A strong knowledge of relevant legislation and good practice guidelines.
  • Broad knowledge of information communication technology, operating systems, databases and networking.
  • An understanding of the various aspects of the disaster recovery position that apply to all types of computer systems and business applications.
  • Ability to work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
  • Ability to network and develop productive relationships with customers, stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a wide variety of stakeholders.
