We are looking for a competent and talented professional to join our expanding crisis and security practice in Shanghai. The role will involve working on resilience-led and recovery-led projects and strategic advisory work across the Greater China and North Asia, providing support to Control Risks clients in identifying, evaluating and mitigating risks in some of challenging and sensitive situations.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated interest and a keen understanding of the region’s operational environment.
Role tasks and responsibilities
- Support development and delivery of communications plan and communications strategy in GCNA region
- Support development and delivery of crisis and business continuity plans and training across the region
- Support compliance assessment in GCNA region
- Carry out security risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies and plans
- Provide technical or logistical support to cross-functional teams engaged in solving complex client problems
- Coordinate and logistically manage CSC deployed subcontracted resources across GCNA region
- Participate and lead in client meetings and training
- Prepare reports and develop proposals
Requirements
Essential
- Excellence in verbal communications, presentation and professional writing in English and Chinese.
- Strong in project management
- Excellence in time management
- Experienced in strategic and complex projects and task.
- Self-motivated fast learner with highly proactive accountable manner at work
- Preparation of detailed reports for clients with presentation of findings
- Excellent presentation skills at all levels in client organisation, from the boardroom to the work floor
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
- Ability to travel regionally, sometimes with little advance notice
Preferred
- 3-5 years working experience in professional service provider, for instance, risk specialist firms, law firms, communications specialist firms and think tanks.
- Track record of successful consulting assignments in the region
- Demonstrated experience in the application of a recognised risk assessment methodology
- Experience in risk assessment following recognised international standards, security planning and/or framework development
- Knowledge of geopolitical hotspots across GCNA
- Basic knowledge of information/cyber security
- Knowledge of commercial/operational environment across GCNA
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams
