OSP Construction Manager
What are we doing at Project Resources Group (PRG)?
Project Resources Group has been a leader in construction management and plant damage recovery services since 2001. At PRG, our mission focuses on providing strategic resources for industries and businesses, delivering customized consulting solutions for cable MSO's and service providers.
We are currently seeking an OSP Construction Manager to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project life cycle. This includes coordinating project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders.
As an Outside Plant (OSP) Construction Manager, you will be responsible for a fiber new build project efficiently coordinating our engineering vendors to produce high quality, highly constructible engineering deliverables. Adaptability and the ability to thrive in ambiguity are critical to success in this role.
What you’ll do
In the field, you'll be asked to perform the following functions:
- Perform walkouts pre/post-construction.
- Verify as-builts.
- Troubleshoot any build-out issues in the field.
- Verify that subcontractors have the necessary PPE gear to perform work.
- Identify permitting requirements as needed.
- Communicate with any customers in the path of construction.
In the office, you’ll be responsible for the following functions:
- Putting together a bill of materials (BOM)
- Compile notice-to-proceed (NTP) packages for contractors.
- Provide weekly reports to management on construction activity.
- Follow-up with city municipalities regarding permitting issues
Do you have what it takes?
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience
- 3 years of experience with FTTH infrastructure.
- Experience in construction on new outside and inside plant (OSP/ISP) fiber infrastructure.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adjust delivery to your audience as needed.
Preferred Experience
- Expertise in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), 3-GIS, and AutoCAD drafting capabilities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Fiber Optic network equipment, various OSP architectures,
splice operations, configuration, and overall system design.
- Knowledge of BOM creation including material research for different markets and OSP architectures.

Knowledge of ROW/easements for various municipalities and experience with local city
utility permitting.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Google G-Suite including drive, docs, sheets, drawing, and presentation.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office programs including Excel.
- Intermediate working knowledge of Google Earth/Maps.
- Exemplary communication skills with excellent presentation skills. Ability to represent projects from business, product, and technical perspectives.
