FHU is seeking an experienced construction project manager for our Greenwood Village with strong transportation construction project experience to act as owners’ representatives for our state D.O.T. and local municipal clients on their construction projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
Primary duties and responsibilities are listed below; other duties may be assigned.
- Has the capability work on project sites to serve as construction manager in charge of the day-to-day administration of construction projects as an Owner’s representative. May serve as a deputy project manager on larger projects
- Possesses technical competency to understand project design intent and to respond to contractor requests for information resolving project issues promptly
- Provides enforcement of the requirements of construction contracts including conducting inspections of the work and documenting any non-conforming work
- Strong understanding of CDOT construction administration practices as established in the Construction Manual, Local Agency Project Desk Reference and as requested by the client
- Evaluates requests for change orders and negotiates fair and reasonable costs for change orders. Assists with the preparation of change orders
- Controls project documentation to ensure that contract requirements are met
- Reviews and approve mix designs, traffic control plans, shop drawings and submittals
- Assists on design projects by providing construction expertise to our design teams; including: cost estimating, constructability, specification writing and quality control of plans, specification and estimate packages
Requirements
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field from an accredited four-year college
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience performing construction phase project management on public works transportation construction projects
The salary for this position has a range of $85,000 - $100,000 annually. The actual offer will carefully consider a range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, and experience.
