The Collaborative in Conflict Transformation CCT) is a grant funded, multi-year initiative that embeds the principles and practice of conflict transformation in the full continuum of a liberal arts education, from high school through to graduate school. The program draws on Middlebury’s experience and success in building institution-wide, integrated models for replicable action around the country and the world. The Collaborative is externally funded and administered by Middlebury College.  

 

The 5 Pillars in the Collaborative are 1. High School, 2. Undergraduate Education, 3. Undergraduate Experiential Learning, 4. Graduate Education and Training, and 5. Global Networks.  

 

Conflict Transformation Pedagogy Fellows bring their graduate expertise to the work of Pillars across the Collaborative.  

 

Pedagogy Fellow General Responsibilities: 

  1. Research good practices and related materials/resources for conflict transformation in relation to programs/initiatives within pillar(s) 
  1. Collect and synthesize resources for programs/initiatives 
  1. Create resources, tools, and surveys for programs/initiatives 
  1. Support curriculum design and assessment for programs/initiatives 
  1. Regular meetings 

 

Hours/Week: 

5-15 hours 

 

The Fellow will report to Dr. Netta Avineri, CCT Graduate Pillar Lead, who will provide necessary support and resources to the Fellow during their work.  

 

The Fellow may work directly with different faculty and/or staff regarding the particular processes, tasks, and products relevant to the position.  

Requirements

Student Employment Eligibility:

Unless restricted by certain visa status, all students with an active status for the semester are eligible for jobs on campus.

Students on leave or withdrawn are not eligible to work in student employment positions until the semester in which they return. If you are currently withdrawn or on leave you are eligible to be employed in staff positions.

Some may be restricted due to financial aid status. International students (non-resident aliens) may not work off campus unless they have applied for and received work authorization from the United States government. (An F-1 visa does not give work authorization.) Off campus work study positions are available only to U.S. citizens on financial aid with a federal work study component.

Student are not eligible to work remotely from International locations.


Hour Limitations:

All student employees are limited to working no more than 20 hours per week in on campus jobs during the academic year (this includes exam periods). The only exception is when there is a full week when school is not in session. Specifically: February recess, Spring recess, and full weeks of December or summer recess. During these time periods only, students can work up to 40 hours per week. International Students: Visa restrictions prohibit international students from exceeding 20 hours of work per academic calendar week.
