IDE is currently looking for dynamic and ambitious Engineers to join the Subcontractor Management & Component Engineering Section of our Programs Management Department.
1. COMPONENT MECHANICAL ENGINEER
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will:
- analyze and assess of engineering drawing requirements.
- research, evaluate and select suppliers and subcontractors.
- technically support to subcontractors and internally to IDE as required.
- follow up with subcontractors on technical, quality and schedule requirements of orders.
- collaborate with the other departments of the company (Product Development, Production, Purchasing).
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- Bachelor's/University Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Very good knowledge of MS Office.
- Very good knowledge of English language (oral & written).
Desired:
- Knowledge of military specifications.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or CATIA Software.
- Knowledge of French or German language.

2. COMPONENT ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC ENGINEER
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will:
- source for a wide range of components e.g. Power, Networking, Security, discrete active and passive components.
- review New Part Requests from Engineering/Bid managers, including datasheet and parametric data analysis to identify existing component solutions or replacements.
- carry out Obsolescence management following notifications from manufacturers and assist in identifying equivalent parts via specification comparison.
- attend internal & external meetings regarding project materials and sourcing.
- admin technical issues from initiation through to closure, acting as a key point of contact providing datasheet/sample coordination and support.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- Degree in an Electronic Engineering discipline or experienced in a similar role with knowledge of components and their sources.
- Understanding of Electronic/Electrical drawings including materials data sheets.
- Fluent with standard Microsoft Office applications.
Desired:
- Experienced as a Procurement Engineer team member.
