We are looking for a proactive and experienced Compliance officer with excellent experience of regulatory compliance in a regulated financial services environment.
You will act as our Compliance Officer on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave.
You will be a subject matter expert, experienced in designing solutions for regulatory compliance with a big focus on financial crime prevention and payment regulations in a fast moving environment. You are highly collaborative and solutions focused. You are comfortable designing and implementing frameworks and operational procedures to support effective regulatory compliance.

Requirements
- Manage day-to-day operations of the compliance function in Lithuania to ensure compliance with the payment regulations by developing and enhancing tools and measures, continuously monitoring regulatory updates and implementing necessary adjustments in a payment institution (Payment Initiation and Account Information Service Provider).
- Work closely with MLRO and Global Head of Compliance across all areas of compliance (incl. implementing and maintaining various compliance processes and supporting policies, ensuring compliance with the regulatory requirements in Lithuania, Europe and beyond, assisting MLRO to maintain and develop financial crime prevention controls).
- Work closely with the Global Head of Compliance in developing regular monitoring procedures and practices to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal systems of control and measures implemented by Yapily.
- Maintain the relationship with the Bank of Lithuania and act as the primary point of contact for any correspondence or inquiries.
- Provide day-to-day support, guidance and training to other business functions on compliance-related matters, fostering a culture of compliance and accountability within the organisation.
- Prepare and submit required reports, documentation, and filings to the management, incl. the Board, and regulatory authorities, as appropriate.
- Conduct periodic reviews and audits to assess the effectiveness of existing compliance procedures and recommend improvements as needed.
What we would like:
- You have a bachelor's or above degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance or related fields.
- You are fluent in English and able to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
- You have relevant experience as compliance/anti-financial crime officer in a Lithuanian financial services institution.
- You have worked in a fast paced financial services environment before.
- You are known for your people-centred approach. You prioritise building strong relationships with your colleagues and will lead with warmth, honesty and authenticity.
