As a Compliance Manager , you will be responsible to manage Compliance issues, preparing and executing Company's Compliance Programme covering Regulatory, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Supervisory Reporting, and Personal Data Protection (GDPR) areas. The role entails monitoring the implementation of standards and policies to ensure adherence to laws and regulations, while fostering collaboration with other compliance teams within the group.

A Day in the Life of a Compliance Manager at Qualco will include:

• Monitors the implementation of standards and policies to ensure company adheres to the detection, prevention and correction of non-compliance with laws and regulations, while staying abreast to facilitate the credit regulatory requirements. Develops and maintains policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations and industry codes;
• Monitors company’s compliance with the Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) regulatory framework;
• Supports on AML/CFT/KYC/RISK projects, prioritization and deliver within an environment of multiple regulatory obligations;
• Conducts regular assessments to identify compliance gaps and implement corrective measures;
• Establishes and monitors internal controls to prevent fraud, money laundering, and other financial crimes;
• Supports investigations into allegations of misconducts, as required and ensure confidentiality of all information collected during investigations;
• Develops and delivers compliance training programs for employees at all levels of the organization;
• Reviewing Customer & Third Parties contracts to meet regulatory obligations;
• Provides ongoing support and guidance to staff on compliance-related issues and inquiries;
• Promotes a compliance culture throughout the Company, raises awareness of business divisions on key compliance issues and provide compliance support to their work;
• Consulting and coordinate with other control-related functions (e.g. Risk, Info Sec, Audit);
• Assesses and mitigates compliance risks associated with new products, services, or business activities;
• Produces regular reports for senior management and regulatory authorities on compliance performance and issues;

• Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the continued implementation of the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy.

Requirements

What we are looking for       

• Bachelor's degree, preferably Law or related field;
• Eight (+) years of proven professional experience in compliance roles within the financial services industry, with a focus on retail and SBEs finance;
• In-depth knowledge of financial services regulatory frameworks;
• Adequate knowledge of leading practices and developments in the regulatory environment and evolving best practices in compliance control, including AML and GDPR areas;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulations and apply them to practical situations;
• Professional attitude, high level of integrity and strong personal ethics;
• Self-motivated and able to work independently;
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in Greek and English;
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
