About the role
As the Compliance Manager Product Innovation, you will report to the Global Senior Manager of Growth Markets and Product Innovation. You will also collaborate closely with Business Unit Directors, the Global Legal Manager, the Data Science Team, and other key stakeholders across the company.
We are seeking a driven, detail-oriented, and hands-on Compliance Manager Product Innovation to join our dynamic and newly established unit within the Global Compliance and Legal Team. This unit has a unique mandate to ensure robust risk management and standardization of internal processes, while also supporting the establishment and scale-up of all new and existing products across our global markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Risk Management: Develop and implement comprehensive risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate potential compliance risks associated with new and existing products.
- Process Standardization: Lead initiatives to standardize internal processes across the organization, ensuring consistency and compliance with global regulations and industry best practices.
- Product Support: Provide compliance and regulatory support during the development and launch of new products, ensuring all products meet necessary legal and regulatory requirements.
- Cross-unit Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with Business Unit Directors, the Global Legal Manager, the Data Science Team, and other key stakeholders to align compliance strategies with business objectives.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Establish monitoring systems to track compliance performance and prepare detailed reports for senior management and regulatory bodies.
- Training and Development: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on compliance requirements and best practices.
- Policy Development: Draft, review, and update compliance policies and procedures to ensure they reflect current laws and regulations.
- Audit and Inspection: Coordinate internal and external audits and inspections, ensuring timely resolution of any findings or issues.
- Innovation Integration: Collaborate with the Product Development team to integrate compliance considerations into the innovation process from the outset.
- Benchmarking: Conduct regular benchmarking studies to ensure the company’s compliance practices are in line with industry standards and best practices.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal and external stakeholders to promote a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
- Capacity Planning: Assess and plan for the capacity needs of the compliance and product innovation functions, ensuring the team is adequately resourced to meet strategic objectives.
- Hiring Planning: Develop and execute hiring plans to attract and retain local talent, ensuring the team has the necessary skills and expertise to support compliance and innovation efforts.
- Talent Development: Mentor and develop local talent, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring career growth opportunities within the team.
- Operations Development:
- Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of compliance and product innovation processes.
- Streamline workflows and optimize resource allocation to support the unit's objectives.
- Establish and maintain operational metrics to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure coordination between compliance, product innovation, and other operational functions within the organization.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational capabilities and support the scaling of products globally.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in compliance, risk management, product innovation, or operations development within a global organization.
- Experience in growing, scaling and leading global teams.
