Compliance Manager (payments & conduct)

The Risk & Compliance team plays a key role in protecting our customers and Moneybox and works closely with the rest of the business. This Senior Compliance Manager role will be a subject matter expert in payments and conduct, and be responsible for advising on and overseeing Moneybox’s payments processes, as well as broader conduct risk responsibilities.

What You’ll Do

  • Working closely with the rest of the Risk & Compliance team and the business, you will help Moneybox build a best in class payments system as well as ensure effective management of key aspects of conduct risk. You will be involved in, but not limited to, these duties:
  • Advise the business to help build a great payments experience so our customers can seamlessly contribute to and withdraw from their Moneybox products
  • Be the Compliance lead on key aspects of conduct risk, including but not limited to: consumer duty; vulnerable customers; senior managers and certification regime; conflicts of interest; and whistle blowing
  • Provide compliance oversight of payment services and conduct risk through monitoring and periodic reviews to ensure they work as planned and deliver good customer outcomes
  • Manage relationships across the business
  • Carry out regulatory projects to deliver change
  • Prepare and maintain policies and procedures
  • Promote awareness and provide training when necessary on regulatory requirements and expectations
  • Contribute to broader work carried out by the team to continually enhance controls
  • Keep up to date with regulatory developments and initiatives impacting your responsibilities

Experience and Skills

  • Experience in overseeing payments and conduct risk
  • Detailed knowledge of UK regulatory requirements, particularly requirements relating to the Payment Services Directive 
  • University educated with at least one degree
  • Great communication and listening skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Ability to work with minimal guidance
