Compliance – Data Analyst – Senior Professional/ Manager

TEAM OVERVIEW

KKR’s Compliance team is involved in all matters of trading, anti-corruption, conflicts of interest, etc. to protect the firm, our clients and investors, and our reputation. The team advises on compliance, oversight, monitoring, and reporting of the Firm’s trading platform and activities. The Legal & Compliance team drafts and updates KKR’s policies and procedures to ensure accountability for legal requirements and our high standard ethical guidelines. The team also provides support for our employees by advising on and creating precautions for personal matters including social media usage, investment allocations, outside business activities, etc. 

POSITION SUMMARY

The role is responsible for supporting the compliance data and reporting work stream. This individual will collaborate with key technology and compliance stakeholders to help ensure data accuracy, data analysis, dashboard development and supporting regulatory filings. This role is a unique opportunity to become part of an evolving and strategic firm initiative to support our business growth and enhance our compliance program through data insights and enhanced reporting.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for performing compliance data analysis across various technology platforms. This will require aggregating and analyzing various data sets to identify and monitor key compliance risks / trends.
  • Engage with compliance and technology team members to identify relevant data sets needed to perform analysis. This will include data from external vendors that we leverage in compliance processes.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional members of the Firm’s global Finance & Accounting, Investment Operations, Legal, and Technology departments
  • Work with various compliance and technology team members to establish requirements / logic, and code the required business logic in SQL, Python, Tableau, etc.
  • Build and enhance Tableau/Power BI dashboards to create compliance reports and visualizations necessary to facilitate detailed analyses.
  • Utilize advanced data analytics techniques to identify patterns and anomalies in compliance data.
  • Develop predictive models to forecast compliance risks and potential regulatory issues.
  • Perform testing of various controls in accordance with regulatory requirements, best practices, and industry guidance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in compliance data analysis and reporting processes.
  • Collect, review, and organize information to support assessment results.
  • Assist the Regulatory Reporting team in coordinating with members of the global Compliance team to drive efficiency across data provided to regulators across all jurisdictions.
  • Provide reporting to the senior leadership team and management committees as requested.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects, assignments, and initiatives related to data and reporting as needed.
  • Support internal and external audits and regulatory examinations by providing relevant data and reports.
  • Represent the Compliance team in meetings and presentations to stakeholders, including senior management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Undergraduate degree with strong academic credentials.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years relevant work experience in designing and performing risk analytics and building Tableau/PowerBI dashboards.
  • Exceptionally detail oriented and analytical.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work with teams across various global office locations.
  • Ability to construct SQL queries and display large data sets.
  • Ability to interpret and translate complex business requirements into technical specifications.
  • A solid understanding of SQL, python, relational databased management system, data modeling, and normalization.
  • Ability to work with large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement in compliance processes and controls.
  • Ability to develop and maintain comprehensive compliance reporting systems and dashboards, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Displays high intellectual curiosity and innovative mindset.
