Compliance Associate

Role overview:

A successful Quality Assurance Associate conduct end-to-end quality reviews of alerts, cases, and escalations across TM, KYC, Screening, and SAR Filing to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and red flag indicators. Identify workflow gaps, recommend corrective actions, and prepare QA reports with insights on trends, root causes, and areas of improvement.

How you will create impact:

  • Quality Reviews: Conduct thorough reviews of alerts, cases, and escalations across the following processes like Transaction Monitoring (TM), Know Your Customer (KYC), Screening, Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) Filing, Ensure escalated TM cases are properly evaluated, adhering to red flag indicators and regulatory expectations.
  • Compliance Gap Analysis: Identify and document gaps or deficiencies in compliance workflows. Recommend corrective actions to address observed issues and enhance process efficiency.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare comprehensive QA reports that include: Quality scores, Trends and patterns, Root cause analysis for recurring issues, Document findings and action plans, emphasizing areas of non-compliance or improvement opportunities.
  • Framework Enhancement: Identify recurring patterns or systemic issues and propose updates to QA frameworks, policies, and procedures. Collaborate with Compliance teams to refine screening tools, optimize TM scenarios, and enhance SAR processes.
  • Training & Feedback: Provide actionable feedback and coaching to compliance analysts to improve their performance. Align team practices with QA standards and regulatory requirements. Support training initiatives, including: Sharing QA findings, Communicating regulatory updates, Promoting compliance best practices
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including Operations, Risk Management, and Audit teams, to address and resolve quality issues. Foster cross-functional collaboration to drive continuous improvement in compliance workflows.

Essential qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of Risk and Compliance frameworks, including regulatory requirements for TM, KYC, Screening, and SAR filing.
  • Hands-on experience with QA processes in the Risk and Compliance domain.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in using compliance tools and platforms (e.g., AML monitoring systems, KYC utilities, screening tools).
  • Strong attention to detail with an ability to identify trends and patterns in data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective reporting and feedback.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
