About The Team

The Compliance function at OKX is responsible for the overall compliance culture at the company. We’re a team of risk-minded problem solvers who advise the business on the company’s regulatory obligations and enterprise risk.
 

What You'll Be Doing

  • Assist with the maintenance of the internal control inventory to ensure it is up-to-date and accurately reflects proposed, current, and retired controls.
  • Aid in ensuring control owners are properly assigned, risk rated, and categorized.
  • Gather supporting documents and collaborate with issue owners to resolve compliance issues and remediation efforts are promptly resolved.
  • Maintain the Global Issue Management tracker to ensure information is accurate, accessible, and captures all outstanding issues and remediation projects.
  • Assist to establish policies, procedures, and guidelines on the issues management framework.
  • Assist in the development of a management reporting structure to ensure ongoing and timely reporting of compliance issues to management and local compliance teams.
  • Assist in streamlining and executing the escalation process of overdue compliance issues and/or remediation efforts.
  • Assist with multiple special projects as needed, with the ability to prioritize and make decisions in an ever-changing environment.
  • Communicate effectively and clearly with stakeholders (Legal, Product, Compliance, Engineering, Operations, Senior Management).
  • Work across multiple lines of business leading large scale project management initiatives/remediation efforts with high attention to detail and accuracy, while multitasking and meeting deadlines despite competing priorities.

What We Look For In You

  • Prior experience in compliance, internal audit, project management, or related fields in financial services, FinTech, or cryptocurrency industries.
  • Experience leading projects, remediation efforts, compliance reviews, or other compliance initiatives.
  • Knowledge of and experience of financial services related regulations, industry best practices, and compliance policies/procedures.
  • Strong analytical and research skills with strength in documenting and report writing.
  • Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross functional teams, regions, and business units.
  • Self-motivated, critical thinker, organized, detail-oriented, results-driven, and adept at working independently and in a dispersed team environment.
  • Intuitive, highly ethical, and comfortable making decisions and leading as needed.

Nice-To-Haves

  • Advanced knowledge of AML/CFT/Sanctions, money transmission regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Prior experience working in a global FinTech or Cryptocurrency startup.
  • CAMS or ICA certifications.
  • PM/PMP certifications or equivalent experience.
  • Cryptocurrency experience is a plus.
