ABOUT THE ROLE

Bluevine is looking for a self-motivated individual to join our Legal and Compliance team. As a Compliance Analyst, you will play an important role in supporting compliance initiatives internally, work closely with other teams to provide support on compliance issues, and contribute to Bluevine’s continued success.  The ideal candidate is a recent graduate, analytical, results driven, and thrives in a fast-paced startup environment. Prior banking experience is a plus.

This is not a fully remote role. At Bluevine, we pride ourselves on our collaborative culture, which we believe is best maintained through in-person interactions and a vibrant office environment.  All of our offices will reopen in accordance with local guidelines, and will follow a hybrid model. In office days for Redwood City, CA are Tuesday & Thursday. 

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Assist in helping Bluevine meet bank partner expectations on compliance matters, including quarterly monitoring, partner compliance testing, compliance management system (CMS) management, external audits and issue remediation
  • Assist team with internal monitoring and testing activities; coordinate with various business teams for information and required data elements necessary for internal control testing
  • Help build strong relationships with business teams across Bluevine to help support Compliance initiatives 
  • Assist with issue remediation efforts; work with Compliance Manager and relevant business partners to address gaps, issues, and bank partner recommendations 
  • Assist with responses to regulatory complaints, track and analyze complaint trends, and prepare monthly reports
  • Responsible for continued updates to compliance policies and procedures, as needed
  • Conduct comprehensive due diligence on prospective and existing vendors
  • Support the team in responding to privacy-related inquiries and work with in-house privacy counsel on all privacy regulations (CCPA, CPRA, etc.) and related updates
  • Track and evaluate annual compliance training progress, assessing employee engagement and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Support Compliance with escalations from various business teams; work with different teams across Bluevine to solve issues that have compliance implications 
  • Respond to ad hoc requests, escalate issues, incorporate feedback from manager review or quality control, identify opportunities to improve processes and tools for greater efficiency

 

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

  • Minimum 1+ years of experience in a relevant related role
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Banking experience preferred  
  • Some knowledge of, or interest in, AML/BSA, ECOA/Reg B, ACH, UDAAP, FCRA, and related laws
  • Be highly motivated and be able work individually and as part of a team;
  • Very strong organizational and  problem-solving skills; 
  • The ability to self-motivate and thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing startup environment;
  • Demonstrated capacity for gathering and scrutinizing data to identify issues, patterns and business solutions; and
  • Have excellent written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills

At Bluevine, we recognize the importance of fair and competitive compensation. Exact compensation may vary based on a variety of factors, including your experience, skills, and qualifications, as well as market trends.

New Hire Base Salary Range: $69,800.00-$83,700.00
