AoPS Online is our original online education experience, and is independent from AoPS Academy. AoPS Online offers rigorous, high-quality math curriculum and online STEM classes for middle and high school students to help them expand and deepen their mathematical thinking. We also offer specialty courses to prepare students for particular math and science competitions. Our current offerings include math, Python, chemistry, and physics. We seek a computer science instructor for new upcoming courses focused on preparing students for the USA Computing Olympiad. Job Duties:

• Using our unique online classroom to facilitate interactive discussion, instructors guide students through lessons in real-time, online sessions. The classes are conducted using a combination of text and LaTeX; there is no video or audio. 
• Lesson plans are already written, so prepping usually takes less than an hour. The majority of classes run once per week from 7:20 - 9 pm ET (4:20 - 6 pm PT). 

Skills and Experience: 

• A bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field is required. Must have a solid academic background in computer science. Must have experience teaching or tutoring students at the middle school, high school or university level. Experience working with advanced students is preferred.
• Must have experience participating in or coaching others for a coding competition, such as the USACO.
• Experience teaching or tutoring students in math or math competitions is preferred.
• Fast typing skills and being comfortable managing a classroom in a real-time text-based setting.
• Must have good English writing skills
• Must be 18 or older

Compensation:

The instructor pay rate range for AoPS Online is $30-45 /hour.
