Position Summary:
Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Compensation Consultant to join our Human Resources team. The Compensation Consultant will play a crucial role in developing and implementing competitive compensation strategies that align with our business objectives and support our ability to attract, retain, and motivate top talent in the biopharmaceutical industry. This position will require a deep understanding of compensation principles, market trends, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

Compensation Strategy Development:
- Design and implement competitive compensation strategies that align with Scorpion Therapeutics' overall business goals.
- Conduct market research and benchmarking to ensure our compensation practices are competitive and aligned with industry standards.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop salary structures, incentive programs, and other compensation-related initiatives.

Compensation Analysis and Evaluation:
- Analyze and evaluate existing compensation programs, including base salary, bonuses, equity awards, and other incentives.
- Provide recommendations for adjustments based on market data, internal equity, and organizational goals.
- Ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations.

Job Analysis and Market Pricing:
- Conduct job evaluations and market pricing for various roles within the organization.
- Develop and maintain job descriptions and job families, ensuring consistency and alignment with industry standards.

Equity and Bonus Program Management:
- Manage the administration of equity compensation programs, including stock options, restricted stock units (RSUs), and other long-term incentives.
- Oversee the design and implementation of annual bonus programs and other performance-based incentives.

Data Management and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date compensation data in HR systems.
- Prepare and present compensation-related reports and dashboards for senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Monitor and analyze trends in compensation and provide insights for decision-making.

Employee Communication and Support:
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on compensation-related matters.
- Develop and deliver training sessions on compensation programs and policies.

Continuous Improvement:
- Stay current on compensation trends, best practices, and regulatory changes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance the effectiveness of compensation programs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or certification (e.g., CCP) is a plus.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in compensation management, preferably within the biopharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable recommendations.
- In-depth knowledge of compensation principles, market analysis, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with equity compensation programs and long-term incentives.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems, Excel, and compensation analysis tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
