About The Role

G2 is looking for a Compensation and People Data Analyst to build talent density and support organizational success through managing compensation and our data across Employee Success.

You will be responsible for helping to scale G2’s Compensation Philosophy and helping ensure our compensation and benefits are globally relevant, competitive, data-driven, and reflective of our PEAK values. You will also help us across our ES (Employee Success) team’s data stack, as you help build out reports, dashboards, and provide our teams with data.

In This Role, You Will: 

Drive G2’s Compensation Strategy

  • Articulates compensation philosophy across salary, bonus and equity that aligns with our talent density philosophy
  • Builds models to operationalize G2’s international compensation strategy inclusive of job evaluations, pay bands and job leveling, market pricing, salary surveys, benchmarking and equity analysis 
  • Enables managers, Talent Acquisition and the Employee Success Business Partners (ESBPs) to effectively execute G2’s compensation philosophy through documentation, education and practices. Directly partners with the business effectively to support the most nuanced conversations
  • Participates in compensation surveys
  • Manages compensation data and tools

Operationalize compensation and promotion cycles

  • Partners with Finance to recommend merit pools and budget for merit increases and promotions
  • Partners with People Operations and the ESBPs to manage the merit and promotion cycle and equity grant processes

Operationalizes people data through building reports and dashboards

  • Provide support to other areas of the ES (Employee Success) team and stakeholders across the org  by building reports and dashboards
  • Help to maintain data in our People Systems stack

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 years work experience in an analyst role 
  • Advanced experience in / knowledge of Google Sheets
  • Strong analytical and project management skills; ability to manage initiatives from start to finish with minimal supervision
  • Ability to partner effectively with the business to co-create solutions that make sense within the broader business context 
  • Team-oriented, self-motivated, and willing to roll up sleeves to get the job done; is used to moving fast; takes feedback well; and values continuous improvement
  • High attention to detail and accuracy; capable of preparing and presenting data and proposals in a logical and thoughtful way
  • Understanding of sensitive and confidential information
  • Experience in tech, startup, and/or fast-moving company culture 
  • Lead by doing—embrace our PEAK values of performance, entrepreneurial spirit, authenticity and kindness
