The ideal candidate is proficient with technology, has excellent organizational and communication skills, and has experience in the non-profit sector working closely with various stakeholders including local churches, service providers, and community organizations to ensure program participants have access to essential resources and support services. 

Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide resource coordination to support resettlement in various new geographies:
  • Ensure that the day-to-day coordination of resources is streamlined and easily accessible to both staff and the participants we serve;
  • Ensure case management staff are well equipped to support, connect or refer participants to beneficial resources;
  • Support the tracking of data on wrap around services offered to participants;
  • Collaborate regularly with staff to ensure our services are synchronized across the Virtual R&P program:
  • Participate in internal and external meetings. 
  • Conduct community resource mapping; Identify key stakeholders, including churches, local non-profits, and service providers;
  • Conduct comprehensive Community Resource Mapping based on the 9 stability factors by identifying a variety of goods and services available within the community that align with the participants' needs;
  • Be a connector of relationships and information, informing other World Relief staff of relevant organizations and services in the community that will benefit clients & grow partnerships;
  • Assist in building a referral process for case management staff. 
  • Build and maintain community resource and partnerships database:
  • Collaborate in building a comprehensive community resource library and connecting it to technology solutions;
  • Analyze resources, document overlaps and gaps, and build on what is currently available in the community;
  • Provide participants with access to a wider, more inclusive, and cohesive array of resources necessary for successful initial resettlement in their new community. 
  •  Identify resource gaps that potential church partners can provide:
  • Perform or synthesize existing community assessments and identify top community resource gaps;
  • Develop a church lead list for potential partnerships in community resource provision;
  • Engage in the development of a process flow for managing relationships between Virtual R&P and Churches of Welcome;
  • Ensure timely communication with community volunteers and churches, when applicable, in coordination with broader support teams.   
  • Work with community entities to promote and support program participant needs:
  • Provide opportunities for collaboration and networking across community organizations to ensure healthy resettlement of participants;
  • Communicate regularly with service providers to ensure updated and relevant information is available to participants;
  • Advocate on behalf of refugee families when necessary;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Demonstrated success working and communicating effectively in a multi-cultural environment.   
  • Highly self-motivated and comfortable working independently towards role-specific, department, and office-wide goals.   
  • Experience in community asset mapping or community outreach preferred. 
  •  Ability to speak clearly and comfortably on the phone with partners and participants, which include people with limited English abilities and/or the use of interpreters.   
  • Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills combined with the proven ability to multi-task, prioritize duties, and manage time effectively.   
  • Proven success achieving goals and working effectively with all levels of staff in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment and ability to provide accountability to ensure objectives are met.   
  • Ability to work as part of a team. 
  •  Previous experience working in a virtual environment preferred

  • Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation document
  • Personal embodiment and thought leadership in integral mission   
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working in the non-profit sector   
  • Demonstrated communication skills and ability to communicate with clarity over virtual platforms 
  •  Expertise with digital communication tools, such as Zoom, MS Teams, and other platforms   
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office applications   
  • Fluency in written and spoken English 
  • Up to 25% domestic travel

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

·         Great lengths of time working on computer, reading from computer screen, entering information, standing at copier or fax machine, and some time on the phone or in virtual meetings may be required.
·         Year-end archiving activities involve repeated lifting and bending.
