Community Center Aide

Pay Rate: $17.11 - 19.11/hr.

The City of Fort Worth Park & Recreation department is hiring a Community Center Aide to assist with programs at the Martin Luther King Community Center & Como Community Center.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least six months of experience in recreation or athletic services and programs
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Possess, or have the ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid, and AED certification during the first six months of employment
  • Must pass Drug Screen, Physical

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual English/Spanish speaking skills
  • Experience working with children ages 5 – 13
  • Experience utilizing ActiveNet or other Recreation Management software’s
  • Customer service experience
  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

The Community Center Aide – Full-Time job responsibilities include:

  • Assist with coordinating and conducting programs and activities for participants of all ages.
  • Work the front desk as the first point of contact dealing with inquiries, taking registrations, checking members in to programs and selling memberships.
  • Assist with coaching youth sports
  • Perform a variety of facility upkeep duties including custodial and maintenance work around the center.
  • Be responsible for working some evening and weekend hours.
