Communications Operations Manager

We are looking for a Communications Operations Manager who will be responsible for working with a multi-discipline team of communications, operations, data analytics and behavioural science colleagues to deliver the right volume of acquisition invitations (letters, emails etc), at the right time to the right locations.  You’ll spend your days integrating multiple data points into the clinical scheduling plan and then monitoring that plan on a day-to-day basis to ensure maximum appointment utilisation. 

Our Future Health will be the UK’s largest ever health research programme, bringing people together to develop new ways to detect, prevent and treat diseases. We are a charity, supported by the UK Government, in partnership with charities and industry. We work closely with the NHS and with public authorities across all nations and regions of the UK.

Our plan is to bring together 5 million volunteers from right across the UK who will be asked to contribute information to help build one of the most detailed pictures we have ever had of people’s health. Researchers will be able to use this information to make new discoveries about human health and diseases. So future generations can live in good health for longer.

What you’ll be doing

On a day-to-day basis you’ll be keeping track of multiple clinic locations, appointment targets and working with the multi-disciplinary team to help prepare for our next locations as well as inputting into our plans to launch into the devolved administrations. Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Identify, design, and document scalable processes that support the clinic appointment planning process including selection of future clinic locations.
  • Create the daily data files required to support our use of invitation letters and other acquisition channels (email, SMS, etc).
  • Coordinate with our operations team across appointment delivery partners to ensure the individual requirements of each partner are considered when planning invitation volumes.
  • Attend daily, weekly, and quarterly invitation meetings.
  • Monitor performance of our acquisition channels to ensure value for money and help improve performance.
  • Daily collaboration with the operations team to ensure full alignment between location, appointment, and invitation activity.
  • Linking up with the wider analyst community within Our Future Health to ensure sharing of knowledge, coordination of activity and sharing of learning.
  • Present to the participation rate workstream on invitation channel performance when required.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across behavioural science, participant experience and conversion rate optimisation on the planning, delivery and evaluation of acquisition test activity.
  • Ensure the effective use of invitation codes across all acquisition channels to support performance analysis.  

Requirements

To succeed, you will also have some of the following skills and experience:

  • Strong analytical skills, able to draw insights and intelligence from marketing data.
  • Experience of using data to inform communications activity.
  • A good understanding of database structure, data hygiene, analytics, and attribution.
  • High-level of project management skill and experience.
  • Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary collaborative environment.
  • Experience in evaluating campaign activity across multiple channels, formats and messaging and the ability to apply financial modelling to the result (ROI).
  • Experience of population analysis.
  • Experience of working across digital and analogue acquisition channels.
  • Experience in web and email / CRM analytics advantageous.
  • Experienced with Excel + + + (tools to be defined).
  • Ability to present data in a compelling way to a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of GDPR regulations.
