Communications Marketing Director

Full-Time

We are looking for an experienced Communications Marketing Director who can take ownership of our communications strategy and plan, to drive brand relevance, consistency, and engagement across all touchpoints. You and your team will plan and execute a wide variety of external and internal communications activities, and work closely with teams across marketing, sales, and external agencies. 
This is an exciting time to join Miratech.  In 2024 we will be updating our brand, and messaging, and building a new website. Alongside building and driving the communications and brand strategy you will lead and grow a high-performing team, work cross-functionally to align marketing efforts with broader business goals, and monitor key performance metrics. 

Responsibilities:

  • Strategy: reporting to the VP of Marketing, you'll have full ownership over our communications strategy and deliver campaigns that drive brand, reputational and commercial growth. 
  • Media and Analyst relations: manage media, influencer, and analyst relations.  Be responsible for the direction, output, and performance of relevant agencies e.g. PR, AR. 
  • Stakeholder Management: work collaboratively with stakeholders across the business so they understand our positioning and what our brand stands for. 
  • Storytelling; identify, frame, and bring to life stories that bring our vision to life and strengthen our reputation. 
  • Brand and Messaging: take the reins for our brand and messaging refresh and work to develop a suite of multimedia content to target our audience.
  • Content: working with our Content Lead, preparing, writing, and editing internal and external multi-channel materials e.g., client collaterals, company presentations, thought leadership articles, campaign content, case studies, newsletters, press releases, blogs, and videos. 
  • Internal Communications: collaborate closely with our Employee Experience (EX) team on employee engagement and internal communications as well as working with the C-suite on their communication tactics. 
  • Crisis Management: put together a robust crisis communications plan and ensure it is communicated to the board and senior leadership team. 
  • Collaborating with other departments and the rest of the marketing team to ensure that your comms, content, and brand positioning are consistent across all touchpoints to drive a seamless experience.  
  • Team Management: lead and motivate a full-time marketing communications team with current experts across content and social media. 
  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, Journalism, or a related field. Experienced B2B Communications professional, with 10+ years’ experience including brand and messaging refreshes.   
  • Experienced in working in professional services, CX, tech, or high-growth B2B business. 
  • Experienced in external communications, campaigns, PR, AR, internal corporate communications, social, digital marketing, and employee engagement. 
  • Ability to think strategically and commercially. Experienced in leading projects from start to finish and creating related policies where required. 
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with experience in using data to drive decision-making and measuring PR & Comms activities. 
  • Strong understanding of social media in a professional setting and how to leverage social media/viral messaging as part of a PR strategy. 
  • Able to build and manage a multidisciplinary team (i.e. copywriters, brand & communications associates, campaign, social media, etc.). 
  • Experienced in managing internal stakeholders, including C-suite and external third-party partners.  Drive and resilience to deliver excellence amidst tight timelines and changing circumstances. 
  • Articulate written, visual, and verbal communicator, excellent copy accuracy and proofreading skills; fluency in English is essential. 
  • A positive team player, hands-on, inspirational, and able to get the best out of a team.
