Cross River’s Communications team establishes, builds and amplifies the Cross River brand and story both internally and externally. PR is an integral function of the Cross River story and brand, and as our Social & PR Manager, you play a key role on the team. You will work hand-in-hand with our Communications and Marketing teams to create content, share news and thought leadership pieces, generate new business and partner leads and develop brand activations using social media and other communications channels, as well as through events and partnerships. You will create amazing social media content with the energy of the Cross River brand that will capture our culture, values, products and thought leadership in a deeply creative, tech-savvy and engaging way. You are passionate about the evolving media landscape, the fintech industry and growing the Cross River brand presence across platforms.

You will contribute to Cross River by…

  • Developing, planning and executing social media editorial and content strategy across Cross River social media channels; curating monthly calendars of posts that support the overall Cross River brand strategy as well as providing value for each individual business unit.
  • Supporting the Communications and Marketing teams with initial drafts of publicity materials (awards, press releases, blogs, etc.).
  • Helping to develop and deploy product, partnership and brand campaigns for multiple audiences.
  • Ensuring “social voice” messaging and assets are on brand, accurate and engaging; through this voice, engage target audiences and thought leaders.
  • Targeting key audiences to cultivate an engaged social media following and make the social media experience for Cross River partners and prospects unparalleled.
  • Partnering with our talent team to highlight life at Cross River and position Cross River as an employer of choice.
  • Possessing total awareness of current events and trending topics, with the ability to quickly incorporate trends into social media strategy.
  • Leveraging analytics, research, and best practices to decide how to produce and package content that will work across channels.
  • Monitoring trends in social tools, applications, channels, design and strategy.
  • Monitoring the industry and be aware of market changes, reputational concerns and industry developments.
  • Establishing key benchmarks/ KPIs for measuring the impact and effectiveness of social media efforts.
  • Develop a monthly dashboard of key performance metrics across all owned channels, incorporating social listening for audience insights.
  • Compiling reports from PR and social media campaigns and providing analysis of social media success.

You would be great in this role because…

  • You know social better than anyone else and have a bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience and 3-5 years of experience in PR/communications/social media, including hands-on management of social media channels.
  • You thrive in fast-paced environments and can juggle multiple projects at once.
  • You’re a creative thinker, especially outside the box, with flawless attention to detail.
  • You can distill messaging and content into soundbites and engaging, creative posts.
  • You have a fundamental understanding of social communication and messaging, preferably in a B2B environment.
  • You have a strong track record of developing a successful social editorial strategy including experience building editorial calendars, writing content, and creating campaigns across core social platforms.
  • You are organized, a great communicator with stellar presentation skills, an impeccable writer and natural people person.
  • You have great strategic and analytic acumen.
  • You’re able to build relationships, both inside the team and with external stakeholders.
  • You have demonstrated experience using social monitoring, publishing and listening tools, including Brandwatch, Hootsuite and Google.
  • You have a great sense of humor, you’re confident and self-motivated with a positive mindset, you’re proactive, inquisitive and a fast learner, and you’re an awesome team player.

Salary Range: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00
