ActionAid Hellas (AAH) is searching for a Communications & Campaigning Coordinator , to join a global movement of committed individuals working to further human rights and defeat poverty. We are an independent, international organization that has been working since 1972.

The scope of this role :

As a Communications & Campaigning Coordinator at ActionAid Hellas (AAH), you will play a crucial role in driving our communication strategy, focusing on Media, Public Relations, Communications of programmes, Internal Communications, and Project Management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create & implement communications plans for external and internal needs.
  • Curate and oversee engaging content and track relevant data.
  • Create and manage communications accounts for programs & ad-hoc projects.
  • Gather and manage content for AA Programmes' websites and social media accounts.
  • Monitor communications performance and provide regular reporting (media monitoring, publicity report, dissemination report etc).
  • Coordinate the production of audiovisual material featuring the work of AA in Greece.
  • Support Media relations, press office services, and key opinion leaders management.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure proper project management of projects regarding communications activities.
  • Brief advertising/PR agencies and external service providers, overseeing and delivering outcomes.
  • Develop creative ideas and produce various communication materials for different audiences – externally and internally.
  • Monitor overall progress against key indicators and contribute to annual reporting in line with ActionAid’s monitoring and evaluation standards.
  • Monitor and hold budget lines.
  • Organize and coordinate brand awareness-raising public events for ActionAid’s visibility in Greece.
  • Support public events of other AAH departments regarding ActionAid’s visibility materials and activities.
  • Monitor overall progress against key indicators and contribute to annual reporting in line with ActionAid’s monitoring and evaluation standards.
  • Act as an AA Ambassador.
  • Support other organization’s priority activities when necessary.
  • If required, communicate frequently with volunteers/interns to ensure they are motivated and well-placed.
  • Work effectively with other departments/directorates, manage issues with clarity to ensure effective information flow and teamwork.
  • Work with international teams to enhance the advantages of global collaboration and shared knowledge, while ensuring the proper execution of communication plans when needed.

Requirements

  • At least three (3) years of working experience with proven track record in social media management, copywriting, public relations or other relevant positions
  • Copywriting and editing skills
  • Knowledge of analytics-based reporting
  • Excellent use (both oral & written) of Greek and English 
  • Ability to work in teams and in cross-functional projects
  • Creative mindset
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work under strict deadlines
  • Availability to travel domestic and abroad
  • Very good understanding of human rights, global poverty & development issues
  • Prior experience in the CSO sector is preferred.
