This is a hybrid position at The Foundry, BGC, Taguig City (at least 2 days a month onsite)
What does a day in the life of a Commissions Analyst look like?
- You’ll execute and maintain processes that help manage the end-to-end commission payment process and become a trusted partner across the Sales and CX organizations, providing answers to field inquiries and helping build efficient & scalable processes.
- This will include helping to set up new colleagues with compensation plans, validating & ensuring the accuracy of personnel data across systems, and managing the timely review & submission to payroll monthly.
- The insights and information you provide will ensure that colleagues on variable compensation plans are paid accurately & timely each month, and help drive executive-level decisions that impact many teams across the organization & success.
- You take the initiative to understand the business’s needs and challenges, maybe more than they understand it themselves. You’re accustomed to having a perspective on key themes, risks, and opportunities.
- You form quality, robust recommendations through the knowledge you acquire, data sources, and existing processes – and you use those recommendations to create scalable solutions that will help immediately and in the future. Because of the transparency, authenticity, humility, and knowledge you bring, your peers, partners, and business leaders trust the information you provide to influence key decisions.
What are the required qualifications of a Commissions Analyst?
- 2 - 3 years working in commission processing or commission building of compensation plans.
- Adept in analyzing and processing financial data, related to commissions
- Coordinating with other members of the finance team to review financial information and forecasts.
- Excellent skills in data analysis, computation, reconciliation, and research for validations.
- You are detail-oriented, understand commission calculations, and can identify process inefficiencies & drive scalable change(s) as needed.
- Adept in analyzing and processing financial data.
- Providing recommendations for improvement based on trends.
- Coordinating with other members of the finance team, such as a risk analyst when required to review financial information and forecasts.
- Excellent communication skills and inter-team communication and collaboration skills.
- May expect to perform financial forecasts, and analyze inventory.
- The ideal candidate has an advanced understanding of how to understand a large data set and the impact that data has on the overall health of the company.
- The Finance analyst is expected to be confident, self-motivated, proactive, results-oriented, and able to define and provide a high level of data accuracy through defined processes and investigation.
- Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Advanced understanding of data and its significance to business operations
- Ability to communicate complex topics with users at all levels of financial expertise.
- Analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving expertise
- Ability to effectively prioritize and escalate business issues.
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments and business requirements.
- Preferably can start ASAP
- Willing to work on a night shift
Nice-to-have qualifications:
- At least a year of end-user or intermediate-level CRM experience, preferably in Salesforce.com and its reporting functionalities.
- Familiarity with Salesforce reporting, tracking opportunity details, and understanding of ACV and bookings calculations.
- Commission experience is preferred, but not required (Spiff, Xactly, CaptivateIQ, etc.)
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and complex formulas & logic
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, or related field.
- Proven experience in the financial industry.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and financial software applications.
- Outstanding presentation, reporting, and communication skills.
- Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Comfortable using a computer for various tasks.
- Proven leadership abilities.
- Deep understanding of the financial system and institutions
