The role
The FT Project Publishing team produces special reports on core editorial topics — from asset management, to law, to healthcare — as well as new-format digital projects and series, such as Tech Exchange, Reinvention Champions, and Explainer Guides.
Each of its nine commissioning editors takes responsibility for producing an individual report, project, or series — from start to finish. This involves agreeing an initial idea, producing a synopsis, commissioning articles and graphics, editing, preparing for publication and arranging online promotion.
Reports and projects typically appear in print and online. But, with more of the output becoming digital-only — and increasingly incorporating video, data visualisations and animated graphics — the role requires a range of online skills.
