Our SelectLeader's client Finanz Butik specializes in offering comprehensive real estate and family office services to high-net-worth individuals from Latin America, particularly Mexico. The company excels in building and managing real estate portfolios, facilitating access to US real estate investments for our clients. Central to our offerings is our US-based Alternative Investment business, focusing on Real Estate private debt and equity opportunities, extending the success of our initial Mexico-based Investment Fund.

Role Overview:
The Finance Manager plays a critical role in supporting financial operations, managing financial reporting, and contributing to strategic initiatives within the organization. Reporting to the CFO, this role involves overseeing financial processes, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and providing valuable insights for effective decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and consolidate financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, presenting insights to aid strategic decision-making.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the CFO in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts aligned with business objectives and investment strategies.
  • Monitor budget performance, identifying variances, and providing recommendations for optimization.
  • Cash Flow Management: Assist in managing cash flow by monitoring bank balances, tracking cash utilization, and forecasting future cash needs.
  • Support accounts payable/receivable processes to maintain healthy cash flow positions.
  • Financial Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies within the real estate investment landscape.
  • Assist in implementing risk management strategies to mitigate financial risks associated with investment activities.
  • Financial Support and Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making for investment opportunities.
  • Assist in evaluating potential real estate investment projects, contributing financial expertise to investment analyses.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; additional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) a plus.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in financial management ideally within the real estate or investment industry.
  • Solid understanding of financial reporting standards, budgeting, and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, financial modeling software, ERP systems).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills to liaise effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Fluent in Spanish a plus.
