About the Role

The role sits within the Datacom Business Performance team and is primarily responsible for overseeing all financial and commercial activities of one of our SaaS businesses – Datapay.

Reporting to the General Manager – Business Performance for SaaS Products and working alongside the GM of Datapay as a member of the Datapay SLT, this is a critical financial leadership role that is expected to significantly contribute to both formulation and execution of strategic business plans, deliver actionable business insights and commercial decision support, provide effective risk management, continuously monitor and improve existing business processes, systems and controls.

  • Strong strategic background, with an ability to grasp the big picture
  • Planning & performance evaluation experience
  • Financial modelling and investment analysis skills
  • Knowledge of management accounting processes and practices
  • Solid understanding of corporate finance methods for investment decision support
  • Knowledge of financial controls and risk management practices
  • Good understanding of SaaS business model, including key performance metrics

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Datapay GM & SLT, providing them with commercial and financial leadership to drive business strategy.
  • Working with the Go-To-Market & Commercial team to support the creation and upkeep of an ongoing revenue-focused sales strategy. Help creating a consistent, successful, repeatable sales model, implement scalable processes and monitor sales efficiency KPIs.
  • Develop and report on key SaaS metrics, including infrastructure and processes to capture key data points to evaluate and project business performance.
  • Establish, monitor and periodically review capital allocation strategy, track internal investment returns, and help allocate resources to high-growth product and service development projects.
  • Lead financial analysis, financial strategy and planning processes, including short & long-term forecasts.
  • Identify areas of potential risks and inefficiencies across the business and proactively lead mitigation activities to minimise these risks, including business process improvement.
