Reporting into: Head of Commercial 

Location: Hybrid with infrequent travel to London as required 

Package: £40,000 - £50,000, DOE

As Commercial Manager, you'll be at the heart of our operations. Your role is pivotal, focusing on compliance, contract management, negotiation, and risk mitigation. Reporting into the Head of Commercial, this fixed term contract gives you an opportunity to broaden your scope and make real impact daily in a dynamic forward-thinking business.

Responsibilities: 

Internal 

  • Work within commercial governance policies, suggesting and implementing improvements. 
  • Provide advice and support, especially regarding new service offerings and products. 
  • Advise on pricing strategy and limits 
  • Collaborate on strategic projects, including new legislation, regulations, and international expansion. 
  • Support the business on legal, compliance, and regulatory matters. 
  • Manage trademarks and protect our intellectual property. 
  •  

External 

  • Lead commercial negotiations with new customers, utilising your strong negation skills 
  • Draft and advise on bespoke commercial contracts to facilitate new customer acquisitions. 
  • Work closely with delivery teams to ensure smooth day-to-day commercial operations. 
  • Own or support supplier relationships, including due diligence and contract negotiations. 

 

Essential qualifications, skills and experienced required: 

  • 2-3 years of experience in a legal or commercial management role. 
  • Experience in leading solo negotiations and seeking support when needed. 
  • Adept at risk mitigation, assessing risks, and finding alternative solutions. 
  • Strong understanding of industry-specific laws and regulations. 
  • Commercial awareness, understanding the impact of contracts on finance, operations, and the broader business. 
  • Detail-oriented approach and sound knowledge of contract law. 
  • Proficient in contract drafting. 
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Proactive mindset.
