Commercial Finance Analyst - Temporary (6-months)

The Commercial Finance Analyst provides analysis and reporting to support financial management across the Americas region for the purpose of improving profitability, managing risk, and enhancing financial decision making.

This position works closely with company managers to provide business and client focused support. Specific areas of responsibility include the annual budget, forecasts, pricing and proposal support, financial modelling, profitability reviews, reporting and analysis of key performance metrics, and currency risk management.

Role tasks and responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze financial data for the Americas Business Intelligence and Forensic department to create financial models and reports, such as P&L accounts, Profitability Analysis, Cost Analysis, as well as utilization metrics.
  • Produce Regional Reporting packets for Americas BI and Forensic senior leadership and hold 1 :1 with budget holders and provide regular updates on financial performance
  • Prepare budgets and financial forecasts for the Americas Business Intelligence and Forensic senior leaders
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify areas of improvement
  • Communicate financial results and recommendations to business senior leaders
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Project Operations, and business to gather and analyze data
  • Continuously improve Regional Reporting packets and other processes and procedures to meet senior leaders needs
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in financial regulations
  • Month end revenue analysis and accruals for BI and Forensics
  • P&L Management for assigned department

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in a financial analysis role (FP&A and Accounting)
  • Possess strong knowledge of general accounting principles and practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Excel and financial modelling
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • CFA or CPA is a plus
  • Knowledge of Microsoft D365 preferred
  • Ability to perform detailed analyses while seeing the big picture
  • Willingness to take responsibility and an ability to produce accurate and high-quality work in a deadline driven environment
  • Maintain an independent, informed, and objective approach to issues
  • Ability to make ethical decisions and maintain strict confidentiality
