About the Opportunity
Democracy Prep Public Schools (DPPS) is a network of college preparatory schools. It is our mission to ensure all of our students receive a rigorous college preparatory education, have the option to go to college and successfully pursue their post-secondary plans. The College Access and Success Team (CAST) is at the nexus of our mission and works in collaboration with students, families, faculty, school based college teams, student support teams and other network teams to ensure that every student receives the support necessary to succeed. Core to achieving this mission is a strong data specialist who can manage CAS Team data operations.
Reporting to the VP of College Access and Success, and also working closely with members of the CAS Team and broader DPPS network team, the Data Specialist will be instrumental in creating, implementing and maintaining innovative approaches to assess student and alumni outcomes in light of the evolving landscape of college and career readiness, access and success. This position will also work with the CAS Team to codify and monitor the execution of best practices, policies, procedures and documentation for network data operations.

What you will do
The Data Specialist will be responsible for overseeing: Data Visualization, Data Collection and Storage, CRM and Case Management platforms/tools, Analysis and Reports
- Perform analysis of programs, project and performance data to support network and school leader decision making
- Develop reports, dashboard and data visualization tools that support strong program operations for multiple stakeholders
- Develop and maintain internal databases, communicate technical issues to technical and non technical audiences and perform related duties
- Build strong working relationships with DPPS network office staff and school-based operations staff to support and troubleshoot data systems, including Salesforce and other related CRM solutions, associated student information and case management systems
- Ensure consistent implementation of data systems and procedures across schools, including working closely with school-based stakeholders
- Monitor and audit data collection processes to ensure data integrity
- Codify and monitor the execution of new and existing best practices, policies, procedures and documentation for CAS team data and operations
- Work with the CAS Team to create reports for multiple stakeholders on student and alumni performance and outcomes
- Create and administer survey instruments
- Support Salesforce Operations and Administration
- In partnership with members of other CMO teams, create transcripts and support student transcript processes
- Establish and maintain systems for management, visualization, and reporting of key CAS data, including but not limited to SAT/ACT data, alumni archive data, student archive data, and coursework archive data
- Lead student case management at Democracy Prep Endurance High School
- Complete college process case management (including Overgrad and SCOIR admin)
- Lead alumni case management (Salesforce admin)
- Lead Democracy Prep Empowered High School program evaluation (including survey administration and KPI tracking and analysis)
- Support teammates with academic data needs as needed through the Incident IQ support platform
- Support Program Evaluation tasks for CAS programs
- Support CAS team operations
- Perform other related duties as assigned, including participation in network-wide or department specific initiatives and/or projects.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of a Bachelor’s degree program is required
- This opportunity is best suited for individuals who have a degree in a quantitative field and/or experience maintaining data information systems and maintaining the day-to-day operating functions of a team, preferably in education/non-profit environments.

Compensation
Salary range is $90,000 - $105,000 commensurate with your experience. Democracy Prep employees are provided with a benefits package that includes medical, vision, and dental insurance, 403B matching, and parental leave.
